Integrations

Bring your patient information together.

Connect clinical records, patient-uploaded documents and data from supported wearable devices. Vitaspan brings these sources into a patient-controlled Living Health Record, giving patients and care teams a more connected view of health over time.

From connected systems to a Living Health Record.

Bring together information from primary and secondary care with the records patients add themselves. Build a connected history that supports insights over time.

  1. Connect your clinical system

Connect your existing EHR through a supported API, with information access agreed during setup.

  2. Organise your clinic’s records

Information is indexed, structured and standardised into a common data model, with links to source records.

  3. Invite the patient

Your patient creates their account, accesses their Living Health Record and manages sharing permissions.

  4. Connect their wider care history

With patient authorisation and the required access permissions, add available primary and secondary care records from connected systems.

  5. Add records and wearable data

Patients can upload letters, results and reports, while supported wearable integrations bring in measurements from everyday life. Together, these sources enrich the Living Health Record and help patients and clinicians understand changes between appointments.

  6. Put the record to work

View the history, return to sources and share with authorised care teams. Clinicians review and interpret the information.

  7. Understand changes over time

Structured results and observations form medical time series, showing how a patient’s health changes over time. AI helps analyse the information and surface trends, patterns and insights for clinician review.

Where supported, clinical data is retrieved through APIs using the HL7 FHIR standard. Imported information and information extracted from supported documents are mapped into Vitaspan’s common data model.

Connections and record availability depend on source systems, supported integrations and access permissions.

Understand health between appointments.

Vitaspan integrates data from supported wearable devices into the Living Health Record, bringing information from everyday life alongside clinical records, test results and care history.

Viewed together over time, these sources help patients and clinicians explore changes and patterns that isolated measurements may miss. Patients gain more context for understanding their health, while clinicians gain a fuller picture to support assessment and follow-up.

See changes over time

Follow trends across the measurements available from connected devices.

Put everyday data in context

Review wearable trends alongside clinical findings, test results and care history.

Make follow-up more informed

Bring information from between appointments into the next patient–clinician conversation.

Supported devices, available measurements and update frequency depend on the integration and permissions in place.

A useful conversation for your technical team.

We can work through the source formats and fields, transfer direction and frequency, access requirements and handling of updates or exceptions. That gives your clinical and technical owners a common view of what the connection will do.

Integration questions.

Does Vitaspan connect to our existing system?

Tell us the system and the information you need. We will explain the available connection route, its scope and any work needed for your service.

Can we start with documents?

Yes. Supported document uploads provide a way to bring information together while the wider integration approach is agreed. We will confirm the formats and intake process for your workflow.

Will updates flow automatically in both directions?

Transfer direction and update frequency depend on the connection. We agree these explicitly so your team knows what will be available and when.

Bring your system names and the types of records you need. We will identify a practical route into the Living Health Record.
